Re: Elladine, Nesryn, Brian (Ogre and Pegasus) Open
Brian's mouth flapped. He grabbed the redhead, their new secret weapon, and dragged her out of sight behind a bumper as the ogre stomped around, jostling cars and making a lot of racket. "You just moved a car!" the werewolf sputtered in disbelief. "What are you waiting for, Ells? Throw a car at the ogre. Throw the ogre!"
He ducked down as the woman with wings and claws glided overhead again, looking for someone to snatch. The harpy made a wide turn before heading back in their direction. "I've got a bad idea," he said, putting himself in her line of fire and waiting for the harpy to spot him. When she dove, he started jogging, waiting until the moment before her claws hooked into him to jump and grab her by a freaky, scaled bird-leg. Brian was airborne, yelling, "Shit!" as they twisted, rose, and plummeted in the air. He tried to hold on, to pull himself higher as the talons on her toes scratched his arms and torso. Breathing hard, he called his werewolf to the surface, but he tried to do it in a controlled way. He only wanted part of it. Like always, Brian felt his jaw and gums straining, but clenched his teeth and managed -- barely -- to keep them in check. The hairs on his arm multiplied and thickened. Finger and knuckle bones snapped and reformed. Skin tore with the arrival of lupine nails. Brian held onto her by his human arm and slashed at the skin on the harpy's abdomen. He dug in harder until the flesh ripped.
Blood and solids cascaded onto the top of his head and the highway. The two of them crash landed in a pile of limbs, feathers, and guts. Brian sat up and picked something sticky off his shirt, an item he was pretty sure was entrails.
