Annie cocked her head to the side. "Are you saying you assumed she was missing due to her absence from the workplace alone?" she asked carefully. The phrasing had caught her attention; the local Bureau office had left the case to simmer for a bit before turning it over to her. Later interviews notwithstanding, if there had been assumptions on the part of this woman or any of the others the Miller girl worked with, it could point to more of a pattern at Isis and its neighboring clubs than Annie had first thought.
