The fact that Shelly had witnessed him browsing in that store was somehow more embarrassing than being caught in a trap of angry vampires. His fingers briefly found his temple and he avoiding looking at Rhiannon until she spoke. Noah decided the best course of action was to go with the flow. He brought one shoulder up in a shrug, his arm brushing against hers. "I got 20 percent off in the mail." The pyrokinetic turned back to face Shelly, who was obviously indignant. "Yeah, that was..." There didn't seem to be a reason to bullshit or obfuscate, or pretend that what he had done was in any way justified. "I was being efficient. People can't escape if they're not conscious, which you being here right now kind of proves that point. But I am sorry," he told her. "I know that doesn't change anything."
