Noah glanced between the blonde and Rhiannon, then down at the floor in case it had any intention of opening up and allowing him to escape from this uncomfortable conversation. "Well, technically, she was inside a house that I set on fire." What was the protocol here? What was she even doing in Las Vegas? He searched around his memory for the events of that night. He remembered being alone in the living room, or thinking that he was alone, but the girl had been sitting there the whole time just watching him with those gigantic eyes. She said her name was Cassie. The pyrokinetic had left behind a witness and he didn't even know it. But that case was officially ruled accidental. It was only Doherty who kept bird-dogging it. How had he missed this?
