Frankie did some quick mental math; he could probably clear eight each on the bracelets, easy, and his Phoenix diamond-snacker would take the stones from the earrings for his hands for at least a couple grand, if the clarity was as good as it was looking to him now. Even factoring the melt-down and extraction costs, if he could get a good price for the stones in the ring, it would still put him ahead of the game.
"That's fair," he agreed, nodding. "I can give you half now and... actually let's call it two up front, show of good faith and all that. Then the rest when they sell, sound good?"
He didn't wait for an answer, instead digging into the truly massive slice of carrot cake in front of him. "It doesn't really taste like carrots, you know," he said. "It's all about the spice and the nuts and the cream cheese."
