James shrugged. "Not much to it. Fire ceremony. Probably works better with a coven." The last remark was delivered with a self-deprecating smile. James recognized his propensity for doing magic on his own and only afterward thinking it would have been better in a coven, even one missing its 'earth' element now that Izzy had packed up for California. "I took the liberty of leaving out the daffodils. They look harmless but they smell terrible."
He drank his whisky and stared at the bonfire.
