Derek grinned as he recognized Tiernan. He hadn't seen the pixie in months, the vampire realized, and he had been much worse for wear at the time. And then there had been the split from Penny. His gaze zeroed in on the candy that the other man had popped into his mouth. "There's candy at this thing?"
He set the tongs down, opting out of the crab leg situation for the moment. "I don't know if you heard," Derek told Tiernan, moving along the buffet line. "You worked like a lucky charm. Well, obviously."
