Radek nodded, quite used to the various reactions his awakening could induce in bystanders. Especially the ones who'd inflicted the injury, intentional or not.
"Oh my dear, it's quite OK, you nearly did." His reassurance was automatic, not realising it may in fact induce further trauma in the young woman. At least he was now convinced it wouldn't attract another attempt on his life from her. Well, he thought she wouldn't, but he was not about to give her another chance to try. He slowly started to clamber up, looking down at the torn and blood-stained shirt and jacket, shaking his head. "I will need to change before driving," he mumbled, slowly looking around and again recalling the reason they were all in the parking lot at the rear of the Roadhouse.
"Do you think there is anyone needing help?" he asked, pushing his glasses back up his nose and seeing his hands covered in his own blood, and muttering to himself as he pulled out a handkerchief and tried to clean them.
