Radek had been planning on returning to collect his car earlier, but he had been delayed by a friend who'd dropped in unannounced, and had some urgent business to discuss. This extended into dinner at Brasserie Le Breeze, and after much discussion, both heated and indepth, but conclusions were reached. They had called a car, Radek entering the rather convoluted route that took them first to the Executive Airport, where his friend boarded their private jet and left for London, and then to Searchlight.
"Ahh, there she is!" Radek sighed with happiness as the rideshare car rolled into the Roadhouse parking lot. "And you will join? For pie and coffee?" he confirmed with Wren, his driver. The young woman agreed. She had been most obliging, and Radek handed her a $50 dollar note as a tip, as he knew there was not likely to be a paying fare for her return trip to Las Vegas. They made their way from the car to the door, the dust still sworling around them. Radek held the door open for Wren.
