Ever wanted the chance to play personal assistant to a mildly neurotic ancient being? Well, now's your chance!

Introducing Charley St. Clair, the current alias of one very ancient topaz dragon. She has been around since the height of the Roman Empire, traveling from country to country engaging in epic battles and enduring — gladiatrix matches, Viking takeovers, aboriginal raids; she's the woman most people wrongly thought to be Joan of Arc, Calamity Jane, etc. (More in her own head than anyone else.)

Now she's trying to eke out a living in the Information Age and she understands it about as well as an advanced course in quantum mechanics. When she's not rambling about the "good old days" into the free soup at the homeless shelter she's looking to pick a fight, and not just any fight, but one that brings money, fame, and power with it. Thus she has The One, the person responsible for putting up with her while making sure she stays well out of trouble and in one piece. Responsibilities include: taking messages on her cell phone (possibly also footing the bill for it), monitoring her e-mail, keeping the location of her lair safe, giving her an occasional place to stay if she gets bored enough, and so on. Any race is acceptable; she thinks they're all beneath her anyway.
