RP: Trick or Treat Characters: Bellatrix, others assumed Time/Date: Late night, October 31 Location: All over London and surrounding areas Warnings/Rating: R for violence Summary: Bellatrix goes trick or treating - her way Status: Complete
Bella had enjoyed the day of rest, of keeping her ear to the ground - such as it was - to hear what she could about the reactions to Saturday's fun. She was pleased that the little Potter girl had been a victim, and thought it was a pity she'd almost died. That would have made a brilliant statement - the death of the littlest Potter.
There'd been a few captures and one death, but nothing they couldn't live without ... and she was confident that no one who had been captured knew enough to compromise the situation. Granted, it might leak that Rodolphus was alive, but ... she thought they suspected that, anyway. So no great loss there.
Monday was spent preparing for the evening to come. She organized what she could through owls for the others, but it was just going to be ... chaos. Knocking on doors, killing those who answered, killing the ickle trick-or-treaters, and generally creating as much chaos as they could before they left the scenes.
It would, unfortunately, mark the end of their week of chaos, but all good things must end. If they kept on like they were, there were bound to be more captures and deaths than she was willing to accept.
So they'd sink back into the shadows for a bit, let things cool down, let guards down, and make the sheep complacent again. Some of them would stay guarded longer than others, but most surely would turn their eyes away from it and continue on like there wasn't a threat. Those sorts were not important enough to focus on, but they might become inadvertent cannon fodder ... such as it was.
When darkness fell, Bellatrix eased out of the house, a deviant grin curving her lips. She had a few places in mind to start, and she apparated herself somewhere ... not caring if it was safe or not. She startled a couple, but they didn't live long enough to gasp much less yell a warning.
Crossing the street into London, her chin elevated, Bellatrix moved through the streets. She knocked on the first door, and the man answering the door had a moment to register confusion before he, too, was dead. Tonight was going to involve a lot of popping around to various houses in various areas ... there was no rhyme or reason to the victims, nor did she put the mark over any of the houses as she would have in the past.
Let the Aurors try to figure it out, even they even caught wind of this. She reasoned they would, but it might take a bit.
Bellatrix was content to spend the next few hours simply thinning the Muggle population before she returned home. Exhausted, drained, and completely content. She knew others had been out there with her - they may even have crossed paths - and that just made this holiday even sweeter.
