RP: And So It Begins
Characters: Torrence Mulciber
Time/Date: 19 October 2023, after dark
Location: Pretty much everywhere. Ministry, Hogsmade, Diagon, Godric's Hollow to name a few. You're probably free to assume elsewhere.
Warnings/Rating: PG
Summary: Tory's kind of really excited about something. IDK what though.
Status: Complete. Open to reactions, if you want.

He'd first caught sight of it in a reflection in a storefront window.

It was subtle, and it wasn't something he thought that he would have noticed himself even later when he was changing, but when he looked closer it was definitely there. And in spite of everything, in spite of the time that had passed, in spite of the stories he'd heard and read and thought to himself there was only one thing that it could be, and Tory felt the excitement mounting in his heart.

It was faint, and he wondered what that meant, and if it was something that he should be concerned about, but he didn't really care at this point.

They had a leader. No matter in what form, the Dark Lord had always been that. And if they called him out, he'd rise up for them. It may not be what it was last time, but Tory thought that he was okay with that. Last time they had failed. This time was going to be different. This time, there were people who had to answer for crimes.

He really hadn't needed Bella's encouragement. He was out in the streets, muttering a familiar spell and shooting up a mark that some would find familiar and some would think foreign but all would fear. Public and private places, places wizards would see it, places muggles would see it. And while he tried to maintain some degree of subtly while doing it, at this point he couldn't have cared less who saw him as he fired his wand in the air, shooting up a mark and apparating away quickly out of habit.

It wasn't until Aurors started catching up with him that he stopped. And it was hours later before he realized that he had not been the only one out and about tonight, causing mayhem, and the smile that crossed his features was probably enough to get him sent back to Azkaban, but he didn't care.

The Dark Lord had returned. It was time to make some noise.
