how it works!

In-game, the first round of cure treatments begin tomorrow! For those not-registered, other paperwork has been provided. For handwaving purposes, we're saying something about doctor-patient confidentiality, etc etc, so that those on the run can also have it administered (they're listed in the results as Jane and John Does). Some stuff about the treatments!

*they're administered via injection. it's kind of painful, your arm will probably be sore for a day or so afterwards.
*there's an injection in november, in january, and in march. subjects are reminded about these and etc.
*those involved have all been given numbers to call, if they start to feel any adverse side effects (if this happens and they're serious (not just headache/nausea/etc), they'll be given a hospital to go to, where a doctor involved in the treatments will go to monitor them and etc)
*possible side effects include: headaches, migraines, nausea, dizziness, loss of appetite/weight loss, seizures, and blackouts. please note that not all of these have to happen to your character. none of them do, in fact.
*the injections do not work immediately. the patients will be told as much, that it could take days for any results to start appearing. depending on the severity of your mutation, it could take from two to five days to kick in, and once it has the mutation generally fades within three days to being non-existent.
*you have to stay in the country and in contact with the doctors for the duration of the treatment and for three months afterwards.

This also opens up a new type of character that can be apped! Xavier's is strongly encouraging those undergoing the treatment to stay at the school, due to potential complications, powers coming back, etc etc etc. Not only that, but they're welcoming those who have taken it and are trying to readjust to a normal life to come as well; both in case their powers go off again, and so that they can be in a place where others like them are going through similar things. So if you want to app a character who's undergoing the treatment process please do! The more the merrier.

Scott has also made a post outlining that those who are taking the treatments are, in no uncertain terms, to be receiving anything that could be construed as hate-speech or denigration about their choice. People seen engaging in that sort of behavior will be dealt with severely.

Also, we need a tally of who all is involved in the treatments! Please tag here to tell us. Thanks!
