Saturday. Sin!
Justin had no idea that today would be special and weird and weirdly special, but that could be said about a lot of days at Xavier's. From what he'd experienced, no month was as odd as October, of course. But sometimes other months came close, and maybe the fact that nothing terribly weird had gone on so far in 2024 should have tipped him off that something was coming.
It wasn't that Justin had anything against his family. Sure, he had the minor complaints when it came to his parents cramping his teenage style, but what kid his age didn't have some issues with their family? He was still generally in a pretty self-centered portion of his life, and so his relatives didn't have a lot of space in his mind. He had school, a girlfriend, his powers which he found endlessly entertaining. It had been awhile since he had thought about his brother, for instance. It was pretty hard to find a set of siblings as different as Justin and Sin, and Justin was aware of that. Most people at the school didn't even know Justin had a brother, much less one of renown in Korea. At least with his powers making it so he could access pretty much any language translator online meant that he could vaguely speak the language when he was around him.
All that to say, Justin and his older brother were pretty different people. He didn't even know how much his brother had sacrificed so that Justin could keep living a normal (well...abnormal, but not-imprisoned) life. Maybe he would've kept in touch better if he had known.
So he wasn't expecting to run into Sin anytime soon. The holidays were over, and Justin had no current plans to visit Korea via teleporter. Really, it had just been chance (who apparently had a sense of humor) that Justin was happening by the front door as he felt a ping from one of the cameras that someone was coming up the drive. He went to the door to open it and head right on back towards the kitchen, but stopped when he recognized the figure.
