VIOLET
"Hello, Katie. For years now, you have fed off the pain of those around you. Encouraged hurting so that you could grow strong. Now you are the one in a tenuous position. Now you are the one who will be hurt, as you have hurt others. Violet, your entire life you have been loyal to one person -- your sister. You claim to love an entire coven, but does your caring truly extend that far? I give you a chance now to prove your love for someone other than family."
Kate couldn't understand any of this. She was spread-eagle but upright, her arms, legs, and neck shackled. "Violet?" Across the room, there looked to be a lever, but there was a shotgun to the side, and a trapline that would have to be touched to reach the lever. She could only imagine that the gun would go off the minute that Violet reached. But for what, and why?
That was when she heard the gears to her right start to work. Slowly, steadily, the section that her right arm was pinned to had started to move. It didn't hurt at first, simply rotating it. But then the pain started. It kept rotating. She screamed, her voice covering the pop of her arm being yanked from its joint. It couldn't cover the sound of bones breaking though, as everything inside of her skin ripped apart at the seam.
