When he asked, Susan simply nodded. "Don't wake him - there's nothing anyone can do now," she added quietly.
At his question, Susan looked at him, not sure how to answer. Another nod, and she worried for him as well. "I just... want you to get better." She didn't need to add that she was now worried he could die from this too. That seemed so selfish so soon after her death.
"Anthony said she's the first fit and healthy young person to die from this." It was so unbelievable, and she was still coming to terms with it.
