"I'm not sure you missed out on too much," Remus muttered under his breath, thinking of how miserable Sirius had been for the vast majority of his life. To be honest, Remus wondered if Dora hadn't been better off being kept separate from the insanity that so characterized the Black family. Hell, to that end, Remus wondered what would have been different for Sirius. But that was a dangerous train of thought and he quickly pushed it aside.
Remus followed Tonks' eyes, chuckling when he saw the t-shirt. That was something he knew she'd always wear and had no intention of making her change now. Frankly, it was one of the things he truly adored about her.
He ran a hand through his hair, nodding slightly. "I'm sure he's more than happy having his child," Remus said, though he had a feeling it was more for securing the lineage as opposed to joy, but that was Remus' own feelings and he'd keep those to himself.
The smile faded on his face when he heard the dig about their never-ending engagement. He glanced away, chewing on his lower lip. "We are... assuming you still want me," Remus said softly. He knew he had issues and until the matter of his sanity was settled, he was afraid of tying the knot so to speak.
