She'd not spent half as much time at Rosmerta's as she'd have liked to in recent months. With her teaching and her Auror duties there just hadn't been the time. Time... she'd flat out cancelled her lessons at Hogwarts that day simply so she'd be in the proper mindset to come to the funeral. She couldn't go from rambunctious children to a funeral all in one day. Not with the way her own moods tended to fluctuate. It wouldn't have been healthy.
Dora did her best to look appropriate for the event, wearing black robes and black boots and keeping her wand hidden away. She was doing her best not to look like an Auror, but a mourning friend. That was what she considered herself, at least. She'd always loved Rosmerta's voice, her special winks and grins, and the special drinks she'd always set aside. This was all incredibly unfortunate.
She got herself a drink and pushed black hair away from her face. She'd gone with black for the day, feeling that it was the most appropriate. She looked a bit like her mother and thus like her Aunt Bella, but still, it was better than pink. Black was a better colour to become morose and brooding in, she thought.
