Emma frowned, thinking it all sounded quite odd. Who left a pub to a child? And why would Miles Bletchley want to run a pub? Or to let his son inherit a pub? It was very strange, but then she didn't personally know anyone involved so maybe it made a sense that she just didn't understand.
That Seamus didn't know when the pub might reopen was disappointing, though. Still, she could last a bit longer. There were still a few things left she could sell.
'I would appreciate that,' she told Seamus. 'I'm staying at the Bite'n'Blether,' she added, thinking that might help him get hold of her. 'I have to say I could use the work,' she added honestly.
Pride was a difficult thing, and Emma had a lot of it. She'd feel better if she earned her own way, though.
