Ella wasn't sposed to be up this late, but Liam was too and Mummy had finally agreed and said it be all right this once. She was all happy because Daddy gave her pretty flowers, roses, and was all nice and huggy with her all evening.
They were sitting in the living room, colouring in, but then there was someone at the door, and Ella giggled as she got up and ran to it, clapping when she realised it wasn't locked with magic but she could get it up herself. Like a big girl.
She was smiling brightly when she saw Daphne on the other side of the door. 'Hello Daphne,' she said with a bright smile. 'You have a very pretty dress.'
Mummy only had one or two that looked that nice, that she got from Princess Pansy. There was something white on the dress though, and Ella didn't think that should be there. 'You've got something on it,' she said pointing, then leaned over and brushed it off. 'It's like snow.'
