His head dropped slightly as he sighed. Sitting up a fair slight straighter, Montague sniffed his nose and plucked the parchment from her hands. They'd deal with heading out of Hogsmeade in the real morning, right now he had to deal with the fight left in his wife.
She wouldn't let him touch her, so he was going to have to do something a little more forceful. Rolling to move above her again, he glared down at her, setting his jaw for the fit she was sure to throw, and sitting almost above her so- if she felt particularly violent- she could not knee him in the rather naked vulnerable area.
"Verity Montague." He said evenly, hoping the use of the name would snap her to attention. "I am sorry, but I am trying to protect you." She probably would not believe him, but the sincerity was real and fully meant.
