Daphne had to laugh at the contents of the letter. It was exactly the reaction she had been expecting, but it still amused her.
Dearest Verity,
You read it correctly. I'm married to THE Miles Bletchley. I know, I was surprised as you are when I woke up and found the marriage certificate on the table.
We're working on getting it annulled, although I don't think it's going to work. Antonin Dolohov definitely knew what he was doing when we went through with this, and we've yet to find a loophole in the contract. Not to mention, we have a binding spell to deal with. Blood magic and all that.
Believe me, I'll probably be over sooner than you think. The man is gorgeous, but incorrigible when he's not in a good mood. And as long as there's no firevodka involved, something stronger will probably be needed.
Thank you. I know I didn't need to, but it's been a rough week.
Once things settle down with Miles, I'll see if either I or we can make it to see the new house. Perhaps Miles will want to bond with Montague while we have our tea and girly conversations.
