Daphne nodded in complete understanding. "I think most new mothers must just learn to function as insomniacs or something. I didn't get more than an hour of sleep at a time for months." It had been an absolutely torturous experience, and it was precisely why Daphne had no intentions of having another child.
"Yes, I know," Daphne said with a bit of a shrug. "I suppose I'll just have to deal with waiting until the nighttime hours eventually."
Daphne waved her hand, as if shooing something away. "But enough to that, you still didn't answer ANY of my questions. I haven't heard from you in ages! What have you been up to? And when is Nigel going to meet Polly? That should have happened AGES ago."
