Daphne's hand squeezed Miles' impulsively at the contact on her mark. "So to speak, eh?" she said, quirking an eyebrow before chuckling softly.
"Why, thank you," Daphne said. Not that she didn't already know that, but it was nice to be complimented. "I always did prefer the company of a dangerous man," she said. "And if I have to wake up to look into the same face every morning, I think I could do far worse." She leaned her head against his shoulder playfully.
