Pansy reached out to smooth a curl of Natalie's hair. 'Thanks, luv,' she said, smiling in appreciation. Girls knew the right thing to say. And the right thing to do. They were so much easier than boys. Boys were dumb.
Well, except Cass.
But the rest of them were just plain dumb. Ron Weasley needed to go get his girlfriend and drag her off to shag for at least a week straight. And as for his friend, well.... He just needed to get a clue!
She wondered what Draco would say if she told him she'd decided to find a nice girl to settle down with.
She almost snorted. She knew what he'd say, and she was tired of him saying it because it wouldn't work. And he knew Harry well enough to know that, too! He just said it to annoy her, she'd decided.
Pansy linked arms with Natalie. 'You're supposed to walk around and smile at people and look pretty,' she told her. 'You've already got the last part covered. Now, we just walk and let everyone admire our loveliness....' she smiled.
She looked up. 'That, luv, is a cupid. It's supposed to help raise money. Instead, it seems to be giving people a lot of excuses to snog,' she explained. Another time, she might have laughed, but she'd already seen Harry kiss two people and she was getting ready to hex some cupids.
