Natalie walked into the ball feeling rather self-conscious of herself. Ever since she'd gotten to town, she'd worn jeans and t-shirts or the too-big work robes that Colin had supplied her with when she'd first started working in the shop. But the dress Pansy had surprised her with was one of the most beautiful things she'd ever seen, and she wasn't quite sure how to carry herself in it just yet.
Her hair, sleek from the product Pansy had given her, fell in soft waves over her shoulders. She looked stunning, she knew, but she still couldn't fend off the feeling of self-consciousness.
She stood quietly by the door for a moment, searching the room for someone she knew. So many people were there, though, that the room was just a blur of faces.
