Jack grinned and took a sip of his wine. "That's because you're a Gryffindor. You're an easy mark. You should get some of those Slytherins you know to teach you how to scheme properly." He grinned. "Of course, being a Gryffindor, you might not be able to grasp the concepts."
He laughed uproariously then gave Harry a wicked look. "Jack Harkness does not get jealous or pine." he relaxed and smiled. "I'm glad he's happy."
Severus had always thought the advantage of using Jack was that he was able to say things that he wouldn't or couldn't as himself. Of course, there was always a doubt as to who precisely was syaing them, Jack or Severus, but nevertheless if was rather freeing.
He chuckled and arched an eyebrow. "My ego is in wonderful shape, thank you very much." he then eyed the little cupids who were flying around. "Might be fun. Wonder what happens if you do nothing. I'm sure it's suitably schmaltzy suiting the day."
Severus hoped that Harry wasn't planning on developing exhibitionist tendencies tonight. Jack's background was as solid as he could make it but he was enough of a target on his own without adding Jack to the mix.
