Chuckling as he shook his head at Jack he had to remind himself that Jack was basically the polar opposite of Severus at social gatherings. Though watching him be so friendly and open was entertainment in itself.
Raising an eyebrow at Jack's words Harry quickly schooled his expression. "Well that is the point of these gatherings isn't it? Gossip, flirt, look pretty." He gave a fake sigh of suffering, "I think I've been around Slytherins too much, beginning to understand them. You will have to let me know if you find out anything interesting." He hoped this wouldn't turn into a huge thing. He had been checked at the door, and everyone else but you never knew. He did know though Pansy would kill him if he ruined these robes fighting.
Shocked when he felt something hit his chest Harry frowned at the arrow, he turned his frown to Severus when he noticed the look of amusement. "I wanna hex whosever idea this was," he said scanning the crowd, laughing softly when he saw Terry and Ernie snogging. "Never saw them as the public displays of affection type," he mused before being distracted by Jack's words.
"Well then you'll just have to save me from that fate won't you?" Harry teased as Jack leaned in to kiss him. "More like annoying if you're surrounded by strangers." Harry grumbled but then shrugged. "Have to admit though Terry did do a great job with the decorations."
