BOOK: Theo to Rodolphus Date: February 13, 2006 Characters: Theo, Rodolphus Location: Their homes Private/Public: Private Rating: G Warnings: None Summary: Theo asks some questions.
His first instinct after the healer had left was to summon Parvati, his second to send a warning to Minerva or Tiberius or both and the third to contact Rodolphus. Deciding that both the others could wait until after he'd spoken to Rodolphus, he sent Mimsy for the book in the library at Nott Manor, also telling her to make sure all the wards were up.
'All wards, Mister Theo?' she asked surprised. 'Mister Theo never has all wards up.'
'All of them,' he repeated simply. If whatever was going on was bad enough for Rodolphus to tell him to keep out of Hogsmeade then he did not want his manor open for visitors either.
He watched as Mimsy Disapparated and waited for her return in the study, trying to think through the situation. Whatever it was, he knew he had to warn Minerva about it, yet doing so with the information he had seemed useless and silly. He'd try to get more from Rodolphus – and probably from his other contacts as well. Find out what was going on first – write Minerva when he knew. Though he should probably not write to her too late. Tomorrow, at the latest, no matter how little information he had.
He was brought out of his thoughts as the elf appeared with the book and he thanked her as he took it from her, placing it on the desk in front of him. Picking up a quill he thought of what to write.
Rodolphus,
The healer you sent me just left a moment ago, and I have to admit that his visit left rather curious – and worried. He was, I must say, not at all up to par with the other healer you sent here over the weeks, and left me with more questions than I care to have.
To start out in the right end, did I do right to assume that the potion he insisted to give me was one you wanted me to have? If so, could you please enlighten me to the purpose of it? I'm not asking for details, I do understand that is information you cannot give me, but a general idea of what it's for would be highly appreciated.
Secondly, he more or less ordered me to stay out of Hogsmeade. Was that also your order or was that his? If yours for how long will that be valid? Is it something that only effects me or should I advice Parvati to stay out of there too? Seeing how my sister-in-law presently lives here I do feel responsible for her. Also I would prefer not to do anything that could put Nathaniel at risk.
At this point I do feel that any information would be helpful, and hope you can shed some light on this matter.
