Millicent and Miles were both making valid points, and Daphne thought they both had a reason to be angry with the other. She wasn't quite sure why Millicent wasn't upset with her too, seeing as this was just as much her fault.
Well, she hadn't left the scroll out on the table, so maybe the immediate situation wasn't her fault, but still...
"It's all well and good that you aren't mad at me, but this is both of our responsibilities," she said, exasperated. She didn't really know what to say about Liam, but Daphne had a feeling she already knew how she was going to end up dealing with that situation, even if she didn't like it. She would deal with that in time, though.
"According to Dolohov, an annulment seems difficult, if it's even at all possible," she said, looking for Miles' reaction. "It's very real, even if it's not what we want." She wondered when Miles was going to accept the truth. She knew they would solve this problem, but she didn't think it was going to be as simple or as quick as Miles' was wishing for.
She felt a pull to stand up for Miles, but she knew that it would make more problems. "I'm going to go check on Nigel," she said briefly, heading up the stairs. She'd let them fight it out for now.
