Watching Dolohov's memory hadn't helped much. Sure, they had a better idea of what had happened, but they still didn't know of any good ways to remedy the situation. Daphne was quickly coming to the conclusion that they were just going to have to deal with it for the time being, and she knew Miles wasn't going to like that.
For now, though, she wanted to see Nigel. Badly.
She and Miles apparated back to the Hogsmeade apparation point before making the short flight back to Millicent's flat. She could see that the lights were on, and she could hear the sound of children, so it was apparent that they had finally come home. Excellent.
Daphne knocked on the door briefly before pushing it open. "Hello, guys. We're back." She had her best smile on her face - she didn't want them to know anything was amiss. Not yet.
But the three of them were huddled over something, apparently having a very interesting conversation. Then she was the paper that Millicent had in her hand. Daphne's smile vanished as she paled for a moment, before trying to recover herself.
Seriously, this day could not get worse. It was bloody impossible.
