"I don't think- Okay, I do think that but I don't want you to worry about me. I hate seeing you so worried and knowing it's my fault," he said, being honest.
Adrian didn't want the contact, not when he felt prickly, annoyed and upset but he didn't pull away from it, breathing Stephen's scent in and sighing deeply. "Baby, I only asked for you to give me some time to think. We can deal with it but I need to know what I want."
He moved to his side when Stephen pushed at his shoulder, looking at him suspiciously. It wasn't like Stephen to hide anything, really, he was always far too talkative to conceal much. He listened, feeling his anger swell with each word and he shook his head when Stephen finished, sitting up and climbing over Stephen to stand up.
"No," he said, looking at him and crossing his arms, feeling self-conscious and upset and that just sucked. "Stephen- Don't you... You. No. If Snape agrees- Why are you-" The questions all remained unfinished and he glared at Stephen. "Don't you dare do this to me. I can't tell you I'm okay with this."
