Stephen rolled his eyes. "I'm sorry. I thought you were giving me valid reasons; that must be why I was confused. Draco marvelling the perfection of his heir is not one of them." He was sure that Draco could get distracted just by looking at a mirror for a second or two. "I understand all too well, although distraction or not, if Adrian weren't there, he might get a heart attack." Or worse, he'd say no to this entire idea, and Stephen could only push so much, before he'd have to back down. "Let's just stick with the fact that he's a valuable asset if he doesn't expose himself. It will avoid Adrian hexing someone."
He smiled at the question, knowing that people didn't really expect stealth from someone his size. "I've stole plenty, only things I needed and never got caught. However, if we do get in trouble, before you go for your wand, I can beat the shit out of someone and without too much noise. I think I might have solved both of your problems right there." There was enough smugness in his voice to show his upbringing, but it didn't change the fact that it was true. "I can do it."
That was the part where they would have a problem with. Adrian wouldn't buy this. He wouldn't just let Stephen go without a reason. "I promised him I wouldn't get involved unless there was no one else who could do the job, unless I had to be there for whatever reason." He rubbed the back of his head, his hair going everywhere and reminding him that it was time for a haircut. "Let's figure out exactly what we're doing it, first and then we can come up with a story. Until then, we stick with the wards idea. I don't want to lie to him, not if I can avoid it, and I don't think any reassurances will help, because I've been telling him that I don't want to play the hero since I started having this idea."
Stephen laughed. "Yes, I'm sure Draco and kissing don't go together well, or rather they go too well."
He smirked. "Some purebloods are perfectly all right with dealing with Muggles, thank you very much, and yes, you can buy them on line, and if not, a little confundo is okay. I'm sure the Aurors won't care once they find out why." He didn't have to know Snape well to know what he was thinking. The idea of blowing Adrian was enough to distract him. "I can speak with Dumbledore eventually. I'd rather keep this as secret as possible until we make concrete plans."
