"Look, I don't care what we use as long as it works, and if you don't mind, I'd like to remain alive as well," Stephen answered, wondering how long before they blew up at each other. "The reason I pointed that out is that it was the reason why Adrian would even consider me going. We can create runes on the stones, like you say, so that Terry can modify his spells to detect them. However, if we do that, I won't have to be there, will I? I can do all of that before hand, and not even be in the same country at the time of the attack."
He raised a hand and leaned forward. "I'm not saying that's what I'll do, but it will be Adrian's answer the moment he finds out, so we need to come up with something else to appease him. He needs a reason why I'm there." Maybe Snape couldn't understand, but keeping Adrian somewhat happy needed to be part of the plan.
Stephen nodded when he heard about Draco. "The primary one sucks, because honestly a lot of people have children and get involved. You have a son. Adrian and I want a family. Terry has a son. So yeah, he really doesn't win points on that, but you're right. He is valuable." He chuckled. "We can have him meet Adrian and they can bitch together. We can send them to the Galleria in Milan and they can shop and bitch. They are very good at it."
"I'm more worried about keeping Terry and Adrian from killing each other, or as worried, I should say," he said rolling his eyes. "They are like children when they are together. Us only worse, I guess making sure that Adrian won't be the one to kill my best friend is my job."
The truth was that he thought he had to be involved, because in their scenario his presence was necessary, but now there was no real reason to go. "You're right, I don't have to go. I certainly I'm not going to challenge Lestrange to a duel or something as fucked up as that. There is a reason why I'm not a Gryffindor. Having said that, if you think I can help then, I'll go and yes, I'll do what you say. I'm not stupid and I've been brought up knowing when to follow orders and when to stop and question. It took my father a great many years and hexes to get that point across, but he did."
He shrugged. "So you tell me, do you want me there or not? If yes, I'll help. I am capable of being quiet and not ask a thousand questions, although I can't guarantee that there won't be questions later. If you don't want me there, Adrian might just kiss you, possibly when Draco isn't around, or Draco will never stop trying to get in Adrian's pants."
Stephen snorted. "You must not have a computer, do you? It's one of the beautiful things of working with Muggles as much as we do. It's called internet. You can literally order an arsenal on line. I know the Aurors are using Muggle weapons, so Weasley should have the funds and if not, I'm sure we can find people to pay. I blow Adrian; you blow Draco," he said with a grin. "We'll have more bombs than we need. Or we could always steal them. Apparate in, get what we need, Disapparate. They won't cost us a knut, and let the Muggles wonder how a few cases of hand grenades have disappeared."
