"I know you haven't questioned me," Percy said after a moment of silence. He was so used to people questioning him that he was on the defensive before Cass had even said anything.
"This is one of those complications of being friends and you working for me. It shouldn't be, though, since you haven't said anything." He sighed, not really knowing what to do and say. "Yeah, I'll see you later." Percy watched Cass go, wondering why he had decided that becoming friends with a subordinate was a good idea. Temporary insanity obviously, but now he would just have to deal with the consequences.
