Cass sighed. 'Could we decide not to talk about Susan?' he said tiredly. 'She's my friend Percy - as are you - and right now you're putting me in the middle. I feel like I'm a bad friend to her if I don't disagree and a bad friend to you if I do. It's hardly fair.'
'I really would prefer it if you could be at least civil to each other, but I guess that's asking for miracles. Even I know when to give up at times.' He wondered if he still had to cook for Susan if he didn't expect her to play nice any more.
He ignored most of the rest, Percy said, though rolled his eyes at the statement that he didn't like the world and smirked some at the comment about him. 'Change my mind about me and I'll annoy you even more,' he said with a grin. 'You know how stubborn I can be.'
