Cass was amused. 'Whatever you say,' he said with a smirk, though his eyes did linger on Percy's lips. But as Percy went on though, he frowned.
'Actually I don't agree. We've had a murder, in the middle of town, to one of the most high profile people living here - not to mention that it's the fourth murder we've had in a relatively short period of time. We've arrested no one so far. How long will people trust us if we can't even protect them from thugs?'
He shook his head. 'If we want people to stay on our side in this war we need to offer more safety than Rodolphus does. Solving murders committed by people we actually can catch must be the first step.'
He couldn't help but to smile widely however, at Percy's next comment. 'Now Percy saying things like that around me isn't fair,' Cass said smiling. 'The thought of you kissing arse somehow doesn't combine well with the image of Miles Bletchley,' he teased. 'Now my arse on the other hand...' he winked, letting Percy know that he was joking. Almost.
