Daphne nodded, smiling. She knew how to use the dumb blonde card to her advantage, but getting out of this situation definitely wasn't going to call for any of that. "If we could actually see what happened, it'll be a lot better than a recount from someone we hardly know."
She put a comforting hand on his cheek when he agreed with her, resigning to believe what they already knew.
Daphne pursed her lips as she nodded. She knew as well as anyone the importance of keeping up appearances, and trying to explain this mess to her friends would be disastrous. "I can't even imagine what they would think," she said, shaking her head. "It's not something we can keep forever though," she said carefully, "So let's hope it's not too complicated." She knew her friends, and they seemed to find out just about everything.
Grinning as he pulled her down to his body, she kissed back, his lips tingling against hers. Her body seemed to mold against his, and she was enveloped in his scent and the feel of his arms around her.
