Parvati stood near Padma, quiet as befit the solemnity of the occasion but watchful in case her sister needed her. It was Padma's first big outing, and Parvati was worried that it might prove to be too much for her even though Padma insisted that she was strong enough.
At least the first ceremony had been fairly quick, and they'd not had to be gone from Forter Castle for long. Narayana had done well, sleeping through part of the ceremony even. She would have liked to have held her nephew some, but Theo hadn't needed (or wanted) help.
Back at the Castle, the bonding ceremony was quite solemn. Padma kept saying she was fine, but Parvati thought she was starting to look pale and weary so she was hovering.
Narayana had shown off his lungs at the second ceremony, and Parvati had smiled proudly. She had to admit, if they were basing the choice solely on looks, Damien Montague was a good choice. She didn't know much about the man, but he couldn't be that smart. He'd been taken in by Verity, after all. But tall, blonde, and dumb wasn't necessarily a bad thing, she supposed. In fact, when it was put that way, they were pretty much made for each other, weren't they? Parvati smirked.
She'd been a bit surprised by the meal in the tent until she'd realized that poor little Verity wasn't allowed in the Castle.
What a shame....
Parvati gave the blonde bitch a gloating smile before turning back to check on Padma.
