Cass sighed. 'Lettie is...' he pondered how to say it. 'Lettie is Lettie,' he finally said. 'She can be the sweetest person you've ever met, or a bitch, depending on her mood and if she likes you - and she doesn't like Aurors. And either way, you didn't show her the badge.'
He sighed. 'I'll try to handle Lettie, though I'm not sure how much I can do. But please, tell Hunt to stuff it and let Miles go. I know he's a Death Eater, but he hardly killed Rosmerta and Hunt is an arse. If he doesn't stuff it I'll hex him myself and show him what an injury really looks like.'
He looked through the window at Miles. 'Miles may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's avoided capture this long. He's not going to be sloppy enough to leave evidence behind him. What are the evidence by the way?' he asked, having not read up on the case at all.
'I do know one thing though, he's not nearly stupid enough to mention Lettie as his alibi if she isn't. Not with the memory loss she has.'
