She did feel bad when he stepped back at her but there was a voice in her mind whispering that this was so much easier than worrying about Marlowe. They could fight, yell- scream- anything would be better than worrying.
"Why do you feel the need to remind me that you're involved?!" she bit back, not quite screaming but clearly hostile. She was trying to calm down but hearing his voice get deeper like that, angry and accusing she could barely fight the way she was responding.
Her volume dropped as well, fixing him with eyes that were alight with a possible fight, "I am aware that there are bigger issue's at hand but you are the one that brought up the bleeding war," she pointed out to him.
