Scarlett saw the blink and the surprise, hiding her own smile. This woman might be an Auror but it didn't mean that Scarlett had to treat her like a bloody princess because of it.
She raised her eyebrows, surprised. "Murder? Who? I'd ask if it's anybody I know save I probably wouldn't remember them anyway," she answered.
"I'd rather you didn't look at me like that unless you want a complaint of harrassment to whoever's in charge at that godforsaken office," she said sharply at Susan's rather knowing look. "As it is, I suppose nobody's told you that I have memory loss? I can't remember what I ate for dinner last night let alone what I did on Friday."
She looked in her notebook to see if she'd scribbled something but she hadn't updated it past meeting Romilda the week before. There was certainly no important information in there. "So I'm afraid I can't be of help. Who is the man in question?"
