Daphne chuckled. "I honestly don't know, but I don't think so. I recall hearing about some special circumstances, but I don't think the child is even blood related to them. The whole thing is very strange."
It occurred to her that she and Verity hadn't spent any time together lately- she'd been to focused on boys lately. She'd have to owl her soon and have tea again.
Daphne nodded. She didn't have experience with that, but she could understand the theory well enough. Perhaps it just wasn't in the cards for her. As long as she had Nigel, she had enough. "Perhaps someday," she said, sounding wisftul. "And yes, you are, but I'll forgive you just this once," she added with a wink.
