Daphne followed Millicent over to the shelf, taking the toys that were given to her. They were round and a bit squishy. She had recalled seeing them before, but wrote them off because of how strange they seemed. Now that she knew what they were, she felt a bit silly.
"These will be great," she said, smiling. "Thanks."
"Oh no, we wouldn't want that at all," she said, at the through of Nigel bruising his tiny little mouth. "I'll be sure to be careful."
Daphne sighed a bit. "This all makes me feel a bit lost sometime. I wonder if any of our friends have had the same troubles with their new children."
