Millicent nodded, eyeing the blanket again. 'Oh I'd never force pink on Ella - she'd not wear it anyway. She likes greens, which I'm more than happy to support,' she said with a grin. 'And blue and yellow...basically any colour under the sun save pink.'
'It was almost amusing this Christmas, she got so many pink things because she's a girl and she doesn't use any of them. The huge toy dragon in the back yard, the toy wand and the pirate dress-up clothes are the things she plays with the most.'
She smiled. 'She still insists that she's a princess, though. Just one who fights evil pirates.'
Putting the blanket down for now, she moved over and looked at a green one with teddy bears on it. Turning it over in her hands as she tried to make up her mind.
'Justin doesn't,' she said honestly. 'I think I do,' she then added. 'But either way it was too soon the last time I was there. It think it would be possible now though.' She bit her lip. 'If I could persuade Justin, that is.'
