Millicent eyed the letter suspiciously for a while, not sure what to think. It seemed Daphne ever only contacted her when she wanted something - or had in the past - and she wondered what it was this time.
Still there was a promise of shopping, and she did need to start thinking of what she needed, and with the trouble she'd had sleeping during these last few nights, and with Liam and Ella both so upset about Rosmerta, she did figure a bit of time in the shops couldn't hurt. Perhaps it would get her mind off things, give her a few hours rest - or at least make her tired enough that she would actually get a few hours sleep tonight. Besides, Daphne had given her things before, perhaps she could get a few things from it. No doubt Daphne had an agenda to invite her anyway.
Grabbing a parchment, she wrote back and sent Nori with the reply.
Dear Daphne,
Thank you for your congratulations, though with Rosmerta dead I hardly feel like celebrating we're quite happy about it.
I'd love to go shopping with you, I could use a pick me up after this weekend, and Ella could use some time alone with her father.
