Susan gave a slight smile of gratitude, not sure if his alibi sounded genuine. Those who were often suspected in crimes set up elaborate alibis and always had someone who could corroborate it for them.
"I'll do that, thank you. Where does Miss Capper live?" she asked.
The boy started to cry again, and Susan nodded. She thought twice about mentioning Madame Rosmerta's will, as she wanted to make sure he wasn't tipped off by the fact they knew about it.
Giving Hunt a glaring look, she made sure he'd taken down all the notes of the interview. "Thank you, Mr Bletchley, we'll let you get back to your son." She was polite, and hopefully gave him no reason to do any sort of runner because he was under suspicion.
As they saw their way out, however, she was still quite sure he was still their number one suspect. Vampires indeed. If the git was trying to set it up to make it look like vampires had done it, then surely he would have realised that any self respecting vampire would have left no blood around.
Merlin, some criminals were stupid.
"Come on, Hunt, we have a report to write up, and letters to send to a few others before we interview." She didn't stop until she got back to the auror's office.
