"So they made me want to hex them to get a point across to you?" he asked, shaking his head. "It's a good job they're your friends or I might have hexed them wandlessly with some boils in private places. I don't like feeling like I'm being tested under the best of conditions."
He glared at Stephen's words, not pulling away but not saying anything for several seconds either. Stephen, theoretically, was right but it didn't mean Adrian liked it all. In fact, Adrian really fucking hated it when Stephen was right about something he didn't like.
"You- Sometimes you're a shit," he said finally. "I don't care if maybe, you're possibly, theoretically right. I did not say that I wanted-" He cut himself off, knowing better than to say it when Stephen was listening to every word he was saying. "It's still a fuck no until you've persuaded me otherwise."
