Adrian looked at him doubtfully but didn't comment on it. He already knew Stephen would go ahead and do it anyway because he had it in his head that he had to. He only hoped he could convince him to act otherwise. If it involved using their unborn or maybe by then born child for emotional blackmail then he'd do it to keep Stephen safe.
"I don't have much to imagine, she told me what happens there. There's people scening in the dungeons downstairs, others talking upstairs and the subs are, to put it bluntly, seen and not heard unless their masters want them to be heard, right?" he asked, looking at him. "And I don't know. I do, mainly to prove that I can do it... The kneeling, I could kneel for a night. I don't like it and I wouldn't do it when it's just us but I can," He smiled. "Don't want you to look bad, after all."
Adrian looked troubled for a second before he pushed the memories away. "Of course I did, I knew everything about them. Daily routine, wife, children, what their favourite food and drink was, all of it," he said, looking at him. "Wouldn't have been able to kill them otherwise. I did what I had to but I needn't have done. I could have been a spy and kept my hands clean but I didn't like the deceit. At least murder wasn't false pretenses and getting your friends killed."
