Stephen knew that Adrian was right. The Order and the Aurors wouldn't give a shit about his personal safety. After all, for them, the benefit outweighed the risk. "I know you care. If and when Terry finds a way, then we discuss it, the three of us, plus Snape, before we inform anyone else. If it helps, I'm sure William will take your side."
Rolled to his side, he stared at Adrian. "You didn't tell me what you imagine to happen there. If it's close to what it is, and you want to go, I could teach you enough to survive the night. I don't know how we'd get around the kneeling, though."
He leaned closer and kissed Adrian. "I can't imagine for one moment that you didn't know all about these people before... before you killed them," he didn't like saying it, but he felt that he owed it to Adrian to say the words, instead of hiding behind cold definitions. "You know the consequences, and you know what would have happened if you hadn't done it. You did what you had to, but imagine if someone else had been in your place, someone like Lisa. She killed Mandy for no reason, how many children and wives would have died if she had been sent?"
